Dear developer(s), first of all, great job ! Getstream made my old PII@350MHz act like DVB-T streaming server - while taking just 5% of CPU. Id' like to ask, whether there is a way to make getstream retune the DVB-T card when needed. Example: DVB-T card is tuned to 638MHz and getstream is on. When connection cames requesting channel from multiplex on 538 MHz, getstream retunes DVB-T to 538MHz and starts streaming. Aren't you planning to add feature like this? Thank you, ZB.

I would have expected -f to send it to the file only? And i'd discourage use of files at all - in the end we are talking about a real time process which needs to handle the TS Packets with the least delay possible - file access on the other hand may block forever when your machine is under heavy i/o load. And the fflush makes it even worse. When doing this you'd better be using a seperate thread for writing out the log and using something like g_async_push from the packet forwarding thread to the log writer or better use syslog - it was designed for logging ... S2 Support - first round ...

Hi, as the Football World Championchip is about to start i just committed the first round DVBS2 API stuff. Currently only S2 configs will be tried to be configured via S2 API. I am not shure that all combinations work e.g. compiled on an API3 host trying to configure S2 (Should bomb out), configure DVBS. Compiled against API5 headers and run on an API3 host etc ... But the first idea of code is there - try it ... Ah - there is a small HDTV config in the configs subdir for the German ZDF/Das Erste/ARTE transponder ... hi, its me again... the problem is not more getstream instances at once... i just run all four sasc-ng like this /streamer/sasc-ng/sasc-ng -l /dev/null --cam-dir /streamer/sasc-ng/sc0 --cam-budget --sid-allpid --sid-nocache -b 20M -j 0:4 & /streamer/sasc-ng/sasc-ng -l /dev/null --cam-dir /streamer/sasc-ng/sc1 --cam-budget --sid-allpid --sid-nocache -b 20M -j 1:5 & /streamer/sasc-ng/sasc-ng -l /dev/null --cam-dir /streamer/sasc-ng/sc2 --cam-budget --sid-allpid --sid-nocache -b 20M -j 2:6 & /streamer/sasc-ng/sasc-ng -l /dev/null --cam-dir /streamer/sasc-ng/sc3 --cam-budget --sid-allpid --sid-nocache -b 20M -j 3:7 & and only one getstream like this /streamer/getstream/getstream -dc /streamer/getstream/conf0/default #(adapter 4) everything OK so i stop getstream with crtl+c and try /streamer/getstream/getstream -dc /streamer/getstream/conf1/default #(adapter 5) also everything OK again ctr+c and try /streamer/getstream/getstream -dc /streamer/getstream/conf0/default #(adapter 6) error!!! and lot of this messages 2010-05-21 04:28:13.993 demux: read in dvr_read returned with errno 14 / Bad address so i stop it with ctrl+c and the result [1]+ Segmentation fault (core dumped) /streamer/sasc-ng/sasc-ng -l /dev/null --cam-dir /streamer/sasc-ng/sc2 --cam-budget --sid-allpid --sid-nocache -b 20M -j 2:6 the same with adapter 7... only adapter 4 and 5 are running OK, tested with all my PCI dvb-s cards... it only works when sasc runnig once... is the problem with getstream or sasc-ng plz help me... michael ----- Pôvodná správa ----- Predmet: problem with getstream with more instances... What about DVB-S2?

Hello Florian! At the "DVB Streaming" home page there are some words about DVB-S2 that I don't understand: "S2 only via multiproto API". Explain please, if I have a DVB-S2 card and could tune to a DVB-S2 (QPSK, 8PSK) transponder, what should I add to the system? Now I running S2API by Liplianin. Hi list, I'm trying to get getstream work with a Hauppauge Win-TV 1100, no problem on the older version but with the new one i have some errors : >From last getstream(1) : Fri Mar 19 10:08:49 2010 ioctl FE_SET_FRONTEND failed >From git : 2010-03-19 10:34:19.260 Error opening dvb frontend /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 Anyone already go throught this ? Multiple tuners on a single card

I have some adapters with multiple front ends. The attached patch allows you to define an adapter using "adapter 0:0" and "adapter 0:1". It is still backward compatible with single digits. It is a really dirty hack especially the validation. Si.
