Compiling on Fedora 18 gives glib errors

I build tar files from time to time i feel the new features bug fixes
make it necessary - I am using the git version.

I havent done a lot lately - mostly due to having kids and a new very
time consuming job where i didnt have anything to do with IPTV/Multicast
as of yet ...
